A wife and a stay at home mother of two, with another child in heaven, due to miscarriage, I worked in Human Resources for years and I have worked in many unique environments as well. Being a mom is by far the most diverse, humbling, refining and challenging position I have ever had.

While I never expected to be a stay at home mom, here I am, working through my weakness and striving every day to do better. It often feels like we are tasked with things we feel ill-equipped to handle. Through these early years of “momming” I have gone through periods of bliss, excitement, intense planning and anticipation, grief, humble-hearted soberness and most recently postpartum complications.

Through it all, I am left wondering if I have enough skills and abilities to take on life’s challenges. It is only Christ’s strength in me that keeps me going.

‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong
— 2 Corinthians 12:8-10, ESV

I hope to write and share my struggles and joys, that others may find hope, practical help or a bit of humor and joy along the way.

I hope to write a few more posts, add some more salad recipes and some “momming” tips, and a few product reviews. Maybe even some shopping secrets as well!

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn a little bit more.
